Implantable Pacemakers and Defibrillators


Implantable pacemaker and defibrillator follow-up can be billed every 91 days. The professional component covers interim analysis, review(s) and report(s) by a physician or other qualified health care professional.

93295 - Defibrillators


The technical component covers remote data acquisition(s), receipt of transmissions and technician review, technical support and distribution of results. The same billing code is used for both pacemakers and defibrillators.


93296 - Technical component for pacemakers or defibrillators


Implantable Cardiac Monitors and Loop Recorders


Implantable cardiac monitor and implantable loop recorder follow-up can be billed every 31 delays. The professional component covers analysis of 1 or more recorded physiologic cardiovascular data elements from all internal and external sensors, analysis, review(s) and report(s) by a physician or other qualified health care professional.


93297 - Implantable cardiovascular monitor system (i.e. HF monitors)

93298 - Subcutaneous cardiac rhythm monitor systems (i.e. SQ Loop Records)


The technical component covers remote data acquisition(s), receipt of transmissions and technician review, technical support and distribution of results


G2066 - Technical component for implantable cardiovascular monitor systems or subcutaneous cardiac rhythm monitor systems.
